Our Curriculum
Find out more about the curriculum at The Bee Hive
We aim to enable all students to develop their full potential before moving on to become successful members of adult society. Students work within our vocational areas learning key work skills as well as having the opportunity to complete a range of external work experiences. Our intention is to provide students with sound employability skills, the self-confidence and communication skills to move onto an internship program, employment, specialist adult setting or college. Employability and preparation for adulthood at The Bee Hive cover all aspects of preparing students for the future and the curriculum for different groups reflects the needs of those students and their likely post The Bee Hive destinations .
Currently students follow an employability qualification at either NCFE Entry level 3/Level 1 or a Gateway Award at entry level. We keep the curriculum and qualifications under constant review to ensure that they meet the needs of the students. The government is proposing a significant change to the qualifications that will be available from 2025 and we are looking at how this will impact on us as more detail becomes available.
